Backflow Prevention In The Villages, FL

Give us a call, 24/7 352-261-6293

Protect your drinking water with professionally selected and maintained backflow assemblies. We evaluate each connection—irrigation, fire sprinkler, boiler make‑up, pool autofill, hose stations—and match the right device for the hazard class, whether that’s a double check valve assembly, reduced pressure zone, or pressure vacuum breaker. Installations are planned around local utility standards and Florida requirements, with correct orientation, elevation, shutoff valves, test cocks, drainage, and weather‑rated enclosures to keep equipment safe outdoors.

Compliance doesn’t stop at installation. Our certified testers use calibrated differential gauges to perform annual checks, document readings, and submit results to the appropriate utility or water provider so your account stays in good standing. If a device fails, we rebuild with OEM kits—seats, checks, springs, diaphragms—and retest on the spot to return the assembly to service. Scheduling is flexible, and we cover neighborhoods in and around The Villages, including Lady Lake, Wildwood, Oxford, and Fruitland Park.

You’ll receive clear, device‑specific pricing, photos, serial numbers, model and size details, and a signed test report for your records, HOA, or insurance needs. We label each assembly with the test date and next due date, set reminders for future inspections, and provide maintenance guidance to extend service life. Work areas are protected, any disturbed landscaping is restored, and the site is left orderly at completion.

If you have an overflowing toilet, a failed water heater, a clogged disposal, a burst pipe, a water leak, or another plumbing emergency, do not hesitate to call us.

Backflow Prevention Service

Safeguard potable lines from cross‑connection risks with the right assembly for each application. We survey your system, classify hazards, and recommend DCVA, RPZ, or PVB units sized to actual flow and pressure. Outdoor placements are set on stable pads with insulated, lockable enclosures; indoor installations receive proper drainage and access for future testing.

Testing and Compliance

Annual certification is handled end‑to‑end. A licensed tester records inlet and outlet pressures, relief performance, and check valve differential, then tags the unit and files the report with the utility. If readings aren’t within spec, we perform immediate repairs and retest so you remain compliant without a second visit. Service routes span The Villages and nearby communities, with appointment windows designed to minimize disruption.

Installation, Repair, and Care

New assemblies are installed with unions, full‑port isolation valves, and clean, labeled piping to simplify maintenance. When repairs are needed, we use manufacturer kits and verify operation before leaving. You receive device documentation, test logs, and a renewal schedule, plus practical recommendations like freeze protection, elevation adjustments, or relocating assemblies to improve accessibility and reliability.

Backflow Prevention FAQs - The Villages, FL
What is backflow prevention and why does it matter?
Backflow prevention devices stop contaminated water from reversing into your drinking supply, protecting health and staying code-compliant.
Are backflow preventers required in The Villages, FL?
Most homes with irrigation, pools, or auxiliary water sources need an approved backflow assembly and annual testing per utility requirements.
How often must my backflow device be tested?
Typically once per year by a certified tester, with results submitted to the utility or authority having jurisdiction.
What types of backflow preventers are used?
Common residential devices include pressure vacuum breakers (PVB), double-check valves (DC), and reduced pressure zone assemblies (RPZ).
Which device do I need for irrigation?
Most irrigation systems require a PVB or RPZ depending on hazard classification; we’ll size and specify what meets code for your setup.
What happens during a backflow test?
We shut off water briefly, check valve performance and relief operation with calibrated gauges, and record pressures to ensure the assembly passes.
What if my backflow preventer fails testing?
We repair or rebuild checks, springs, and seals, retest the unit, and submit passing results to restore compliance.
Can you replace outdated or leaking backflow devices?
Yes—we replace leaking, frozen, or obsolete assemblies with approved models, properly oriented and protected from flooding.
Do you handle paperwork with the utility?
Absolutely—we complete and submit the official test report to the designated utility or compliance portal on your behalf.
Will testing interrupt my water service?
Water is off briefly during testing and repairs; we schedule to minimize impact and restore service promptly.
How can I protect my backflow preventer from damage?
Keep it above grade, clear of standing water, shielded from lawn equipment, and drained or insulated during rare cold snaps.
Do you install backflow devices on new irrigation or remodels?
Yes—we install code-compliant assemblies with proper clearances, drainage, and shutoffs for new or modified irrigation systems.
Can you service community or shared assemblies?
Yes—we test and service larger or shared assemblies, coordinating access and downtime to minimize disruption for residents.
What payment options do you offer for backflow services?
We accept major credit cards and contactless payments on-site; bundled pricing may be available with irrigation or plumbing services.

During our plumbing emergency we had to turn off the water to the house. We called many different plumbing companies and was told they couldn't come out till the next day. Clean Plumbers came to our aid within a couple of hours. Nathan was excellent. He was courteous, friendly and efficient. We will be calling Clean Plumbers for any future needs. They were a life saver.
